Mullion-transom facades

The mullion-transom facade is the most widespread system for building large-scale glass facades with an elegant profile face. Both classical, vertical division of the panels and free architectural forms are possible using mullion-transom facade designs.

  • Suitable for use with vertical facades, polygonal facades, angled glazing
  • Individual design due to large selection of profile geometries for the supporting structure
  • Standardised design for glass loads of up to 6 kN
  • Elegant appearance with same view of the inner mullion and transom seals
  • Large selection of cover caps for a wide variety of design options
  • Concealed integration of electrical cables, which are nonetheless accessible if alterations are subsequently required
  • Glazing from outside with visible and invisible screw connections
  • Attractive aesthetic design and high level of functionality

Mullion-transom facade with reduced face width

The mullion-transom facade is now also available with a reduced face width of 35 mm. This new product will be marketed under the description “panorama facade”. Panorama facades from GIP GLAZING offer thermal insulation values compliant with the passive house standard.

  • Modular mullion-transom facades: Profile face widths of 35 mm, 50 mm, 60 mm and 80 mm can be combined with each other
  • Patented mullion-transom facade for safe glass installation and fastening the 35 mm wide pressure plate profile
  • Mullion-transom facade with three drainage levels for maximum design flexibility
  • Variety of insert units for integration into the mullion-transom facade
  • Outward opening windows and ADS doors can be inserted into the mullion-transom facade
  • Mullion-transom facade with face widths of 35 mm guarantee compliance with applicable glazing regulations, which require a glass edge cover of 12 mm
